Many of your guests can work and go to school remotely if they can get connected.

The global pandemic of Covid 19 has sped up adoption of working remotely and distance learning, and now many travelers can work or go to school from anywhere if they can get connected. This is great news, leading to more guests spending more time on your property.

Guests may not be able to depend on cellular coverage in spotty areas or indoors, especially when subject to overloaded cell sites and data caps. With solid, reliable WiFi coverage you can encourage guests to stay longer and return time and again.

To ensure guests can work and learn remotely make sure your WiFi system:

  • Supports VPNs
  • Can handle peak demand periods
  • Provides consistent speed and coverage in all guest areas
  • Is easy to for guests to connect and authenticate
  • Has enough bandwidth coming in to meet guests needs
  • Uses system controls to prevent high usage guests from interfering with other guests
  • Can support large numbers of users in areas of high guest concentrations such as pools, restaurants and function rooms

It is a good idea to test your WiFi coverage and speed occasionally during peak periods. WiFi that works well during slower periods can slow down or grind to a halt when there are lots of guests trying to connect and use it.

As guest usage patterns and data needs evolve your Guest WiFi system should be evaluated on a regular basis to see what updates and upgrades are needed.

And of course CheckBox is always here to help with that.
